Nutrition and Diabetes Counseling
At Central Vermont Medical Center our Registered Dietitians and Nutritionists (RDNs) provide individual and group education and counseling for nutrition and diabetes.
We have offices at various CVMC Medical Group Practice locations.

Medical Nutrition Therapy utilizes diet and lifestyle changes to treat or manage chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. Many of these conditions are improved by changes in diet, regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle.
At Central Vermont Medical Center, Medical Nutrition Therapy is provided by our Nutrition and Diabetes Counselors. Registered Dietitians and Nutritionists (RDNs) provide individual and group education and counseling, at various CVMC Medical Group Practice locations.
Nutrition Education and Counseling
Our Nutrition Education and Counseling Program includes one-on-one nutrition education and counseling, for adults and children, for many conditions.

Diabetes Self-Management Education Program
The Diabetes Self-Management Education Program offers training to people with diabetes so they can live healthy lives. Our team approach promotes patient-centered care. We work with primary care providers to help patients take control of this chronic condition.

Diabetes care and management is covered by all insurances. You will need a referral from your health care provider. Many health insurance companies cover outpatient nutrition services; however coverage may vary and depend on your diagnosis.
We recommend you contact your insurance prior to coming to verify coverage, co-pays and reimbursements.
